Been a few years, but a while ago we had an Oppo on here doing liquor reviews and I picked up a few bottles of Speyburn 10 on their recommendation. I picked up another bottle last week and it is gone as of this evening. This year’s batch is faaaaaaaa antastic. So I doff my hat to the Oppo who got me hooked on the stuff.

You’re welcome.

Just kidding, it wasn’t me. But Speyburn is great as far as single malt scotch is concerned, and the price is downright reasonable.

I’ll have to give it a try.  My go to is always Macallan, but I’d like to find a more reasonable option.

I like Scotch whisky, but I’m used to a good bottle of Scotch costing a lot more than an equally good bottle of Bourbon. Right now I am down to the bottom of my current bottle of whisky and I was going to get another bottle of Bourbon this weekend, but I just looked this stuff up and the price is hardly any more than I was planning on spending , so I’ll give it a try tonight. Thanks for the recommendation!

I’m a Highland single-malt kind of guy. Islay scotches are just overwhelming with the peat; it’s like drinking a glass of moss. Never tried a Speyside. How does a Speyside compare to a Highland or an Islay?

Speyside is like a highland, but a bit lighter. Speyburn is particularly fruity on the palatte. Lots of notes of apple and pear. I am a big fan for 30$ USD.
